Counselling
It’s not unusual to find difficulty tending to the ups and downs of life and experiencing emotional pain and disappointment. However, when these feelings persist, this can cause a sense of unhappiness and anxiety that can become overwhelming at times.
Counselling can provide a space for reflection. The client talks about the things that are in the forefront of their minds. Thoughts, feelings and behaviour might be explored during a session.
As the relationship with the counsellor develops, the individual becomes more insightful and discovers more appropriate ways of dealing with problems as improved patterns of thinking emerge.

Long or short term counselling is available. We will discuss an agreed way of working in a collaborative way at our initial meeting.
I am also experienced in other psychological modalities. I am able to integrate solution focused and goal orientated interventions, as part of short-term work, using mindfulness, imagery and other creative methods in order to work towards a chosen outcome.
I have regular supervision of my caseload and work to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Code of Ethics. I am committed to ongoing Continued Professional Development (CPD).
